Journalist claims Trabzonspor are ‘very close’ to signing Milan defender for €3-3.5m

AC Milan could sell Fode Ballo-Toure after just one season at the club as he is attracting interest from Turkey, according to a journalist.

Ballo-Toure was signed from Monaco to be a back-up to Theo Hernandez in the role of left-back but he played just 594 minutes in total, with 12 appearances in Serie A and the Champions League combined.

In the end head coach Stefano Pioli preferred adapting other players like Alessandro Florenzi to the left side rather than using the Senegal international, which has led to speculation he could be sold.

According to Mehmet Batuhan Ağır of Tv100, Trabzonspor are keen on signing him after they were crowned winners of the Turkish Süper Lig title after 38 years.

Not only that, but he adds that they are ‘very close’ to signing the 25-year-old from Milan and that the possible transfer fee would be €3-3.5m, therefore not too far off what the Rossoneri paid.
