Questions have been continuously asked about AC Milan’s recent mercatos. However, there are some stats to suggest that the Rossoneri are one of the better clubs when it comes to transfers.
This summer, the management were given the task of renovating the squad across many areas. Stefano Pioli had to be properly replaced, Olivier Giroud had to be replaced, and several other positions needed work.
At the end of the window, Milan had Paulo Fonseca in the driving seat, Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham came in to help sort the striker situation and Milan made attempts to solve the defensive issues.
Today, Transfermarkt (via Radio Rossonera) have ranked where the Diavolo’s squad ranks among the best value for money against their current prices. To do this, the statistical website have taken the price which each Serie A club paid for their squad and compared it to what they are now valued at.
Leading the list is Inter, whose squad is valued at +€352 million, and there is a considerable difference between themselves and second-placed Milan, who have a value surplus of €230m. Atalanta rank third with +€140m.
After the start of the season which the Rossoneri have had, there are going to be questions in place about the mercato for some time, but in May opinions could be vastly different, and whilst value doesn’t win league titles, it could eventually lead to better for the Diavolo.
BS stats… rather have Juve level squad than help some US pr*ck save some cash
Another one for our accountant Scudetto. We’re cooking.
I have a Glaswegian friend who is a Celtic fan. He studied business to Masters level and has always spoken just as passionately about the running of his club as he does the football – it’s all very insightful. I would some of the names on this site to tell him he’s not a real fan because he cares about things that “don’t matter” 😄.
It’s an aggregator site and some fans like data. Stats like this existed before Redbird was incorporated. If it’s not for you, ignore it.
Relax, there’s plenty of fuel for the fire.
