AC Milan are one of the clubs who are interested in a move for Celtic’s star centre-back Kristoffer Ajer, according to a report.
There are lots of doubts regarding how Milan’s defensive department could look next season, with the futures of Simon Kjaer, Mateo Musacchio and even Alessio Romagnoli the subject of speculation over the last week.
According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan have targeted a summer move for Kristoffer Ajer to reinforce the rearguard. The player has decided not to renew his contract, which expires in 2022, and in the summer he will leave the Celtic.
However, the Scottish side value him at over €30million, and there is plenty of competition from a number of other European sides, as per the paper.
Ajer has been a regular fixture in Celtic’s starting line-up since the start of last season, with the Norway international making 49 appearances in all competitions this campaign – scoring four goals and adding two assists.
He has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the last few days, with the Premier League side also looking to bolster their backline.
