Tuttosport: AC Milan continue to work on signing €40m Brazil star next summer

By Oliver Fisher -

The idea of signing Everton Soares from Gremio has not gone away for AC Milan who could launch an assault next year, a report claims.

The Brazil international has continued his impressive development in his home country, scoring 15 goals and adding seven assists in 40 appearances in all competitions this season.

After being heavily linked with a move to Milan in the summer, Globoesporte (via MilanNews.it) claimed on Monday that the Rossoneri had a scout present at the Arena do Gremio to watch Everton in action against San Paolo, with the home side winning 3-0.

And according to Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport – as cited by MilanNews.it – it is no coincidence that Milan had an emissary in Brazil for that particular game.

The paper reports that the club are continuing to work on Everton as a transfer objective, not for January but for next summer. His valuation is €35-40million, and Milan would apparently need at least a place in the Europa League in order to beat the competition.

The Globoesporte report stated that Roma and Everton were also at the game to watch the winger.
