AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will give Zlatan Ibrahimovic a bit of a rest during tomorrow’s Europa League game against Red Star, a report claims.
After the 2-2 draw in Belgrade last week, the Rossoneri know that they must simply avoid defeat and/or avoid conceding twice in order to secure their progression into the last 16 of the competition.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ibrahimovic will not play from the first minute against the Serbian league leaders but instead will start from the bench. Rafael Leao will play as the centre-forward, while Ante Rebic will be on the left wing. Samu Castillejo and one between Rade Krunic and Hakan Calhanoglu will complete the attack.
Pioli should also give another start to Fikayo Tomori in the centre of defence. His centre-back partner is expected to be Simon Kjaer, who is favourite over Alessio Romagnoli for a starting shirt, the paper adds.
