Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu is continuing to push for a return to AC Milan, a report claims, but at the moment it seems difficult.
The Spaniard has publicly expressed his desire to return to wearing the Rossoneri shirt, but according to Tuttosport on Monday (via MilanNews), Maldini and Massara have made it known that Deulofeu is not a priority today despite the fact they appreciate his desire to come back.
On the right wing Milan already have Alexis Saelemaekers, Samu Castillejo and – if necessary – Lucas Paqueta in the squad, with Brahim Diaz on the way too. Hakan Calhanoglu is the playmaker while Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao are fighting for a spot on the left.
It is unlikely therefore that Milan are willing to invest €24million – the sum requested by Watford – to make Deulofeu’s dream come true. The player will have to wait, with the hope that the Championship club will accept different transfer methods late in the window.
