Tuttosport: Heavy turnover against Sparta Praha – chances for Duarte, Conti and Colombo

By Oliver Fisher -

With qualification for the knockout stages already in the bag, Stefano Pioli is set to make a number of changes to his starting XI to face Sparta Praha.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), while the Rossoneri will play for first place in the group, the Milan head coach still wants to give some rest to those players who have been used the most so far.

Andrea Conti and Leo Duarte will both get their first starts of the season at right-back and centre-back respectively, with Matteo Gabbia likely to partner the Brazilia, while Diogo Dalot will get his second start at left-back having played that position against Sparta in the game at San Siro.

Pioli has no intention of risking Rebic and for this reason Lorenzo Colombo will act as centre-forward tomorrow night. Behind him the trident be Samu Castillejo on the right, Brahim Diaz in the middle and Jens Petter Hauge on the left.

The same paper reported yesterday that Rade Krunic and Sandro Tonali are likely to be deployed in midfield.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Conti, Duarte, Gabbia, Dalot; Krunic, Tonali; Castillejo, Diaz, Maldini; Colombo.
