Tuttosport: Latest on Rebic injury as Pioli considers midfield rotation vs. Sparta Praha

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is considering rotating the midfield for Thursday night’s game against Sparta Praha at San Siro, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in a difficult moment both in terms of the hectic nature of their fixture schedule and also because of the fact they have a number of players out like Ante Rebic (who returned to training today), Matteo Gabbia, Mateo Musacchio, Leo Duarte and Jens Petter Hauge.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pioli is very much tempted to give Franck Kessie a bit of rest and deploy a midfield double pivot of Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali against the Czech side.

Meanwhile, the paper also provide an update on the condition of Ante Rebic, who has finally recovered from the elbow dislocation he sustained a month ago against Crotone.

Yesterday he returned to training with the rest of the group and could be called up for tomorrow’s match against Sparta in the Europa League, but would likely only feature briefly off the bench, while he could then start against Udinese.
