Tuttosport: Leao to lead the attack in first preseason games – he is playing for his Milan future

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is playing for his future at the club as head coach Stefano Pioli expects a lot from him, according to a report.

Several reports have claimed that Milan are ready to consider any offers for Leao with the interest of Marseille, Wolverhampton and Everton and Borussia Dortmund mentioned over the past few days.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Leao is playing for his future with the Rossoneri. In the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to injury and while waiting for Olivier Giroud and Ante Rebic to get back from their post-Euros holidays, it will be up to Leao to lead Milan’s attack in the first friendly matches of preseason.

As he has stated several times in the media, head coach Stefano Pioli expects a lot from the young Portuguese forward, who has had two inconsistent seasons at Milan so far but has certainly shown his potential.
