GdS: Milan expected to resume contacts over €30m playmaker but not for a fortnight

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to back off their pursuit of Nikola Vlasic for the time being having been priced out of a move for now, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that in the next couple of weeks new contacts between the clubs are expected, but in the meantime one of the parties will have to review their stance.

The Rossoneri want to sign the Croatia international on loan with an option to buy, while CSKA Moscow want to monetise immediately from the sale of their star man and they are asking for as much as €30m in order to do so, given the importance of the former Everton man.

Vlasic racked up 16 goals contributions (11G, 5A) in 26 league games last season for CSKA, having managed 12 goals and 5 assists in 30 games last season. However, the club are in financial trouble having posted big losses.
