Tuttosport: Milan back in for Inter target Kabak – contacts held with agent over move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have opened contacts with the agent of Schalke defender Ozan Kabak over a possible move, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of bolstering their defence given that Matteo Gabbia and Simon Kjaer are the only available options at the moment amid an injury crisis.

According to Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan’s priority on the transfer market remains a central defender. There are many names linked at present, but in the last few hours Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04 has reappeared.

The report adds that Milan have reached out to his entourage to gauge interest regarding the idea of a switch to the Rossoneri before October 5, while it was confirmed on Sunday morning that Schalke have sacked head coach David Wagner, something which could be a factor.

Milan were heavily linked with a move for Kabak last summer but he ended up choosing the Bundesliga. Sky are also reporting that Inter want Kabak if Milan Skriniar leaves.
