Tuttosport: Milan battling further injury problems but the staff are not alarmed – the reason

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have suffered yet more damage to their attacking depth as Junior Messias has suffered another injury problem, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms that the Brazilian has been stopped by an injury to the rectus femoris muscle of the left thigh and while it is not a long-term problem and he should be back within a month, the growing list of injured players is starting to be worrying.

The paper acknowledges the anger the fans have towards the medical staff at Milanello, but there have not been a high percentage of muscular problems contrary to belief, and there are example like Rade Krunic where he sustained his issue on international duty.

Injury problems are part of the path of a team that plays at high intensity and has big games every three days. More luck would be nice from all points of view, but such a 100mph style of play will bring some problems.
