Tuttosport: Milan miss out on Tielemans but remain intent on closing Kamada signing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may have changed their management recently but the pursuit of Daichi Kamada seems to be still ongoing, according to a report.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Milan have already missed out on one free transfer as Youri Tielemans has officially chosen Aston Villa.

However, contacts with agent Giuseppe Bozzo will most likely get off the ground again in the next few days to conclude the arrival of Kamada, who would arrive for free from Eintracht Frankfurt.

There is a verbal agreement over a four-year contract until June 2027 worth €2.7m net per season plus bonuses. There just are some bureaucratic issues related to the domicile of the player’s Japanese agents to resolve.

Kamada is a profile that head coach Stefano Pioli really likes and presuming he does arrive at Milan, the attacking midfielder would occupy one of the slots for non-EU players.

    1. The club is not stalling, it’s the government requiring (as clearly stated yet again by the article) processes from his agents. Italy being Italy as always.

  1. Poli has earned a reputation for putting new players on the bench for 1 year. Any new players will hesitate to sign.
