Part of AC Milan’s planning during the January transfer window includes targets that they will hold off on until the summer, and two Premier League players are being eyed on free transfers.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth is among the profiles that Milan have investigated and continue to monitor for the defensive department.
Geoffrey Moncada and co. wanted to try and sign the English defender during the current winter mercato, but Bournemouth do not want to lose one of their key men midway through the season.
As a result, Milan will try again in time but in a few months they will not have to deal with the club, because Kelly’s deal runs out in June and there are no signs of a renewal.
That means he will be free to sign for free with whoever he wants, while Rossoneri will have to worry above all about the competition coming from Italy in particular given Juventus are also interested in the 25-year-old.
We reported less than a week ago that Kelly remains on Milan’s list of targets, especially given that Alessandro Buongiorno will not be allowed to leave this month but will still command a high transfer fee in the summer.
The paper claims that Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham is also on the list of the Milan management, and he too has a contract expiring in a few months.
