Tuttosport: Milan hope for €5m sale in order to launch move for Bologna star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must try and resolve Rade Krunic’s future this month, while the management reportedly already have a name in mind in the event they are able to sell him.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), there are no particular movements on the Krunic front at the moment. He has had an agreement with Fenerbahçe for months over terms, but the Turkish side must raise their €4m offer.

Presenting a new bid worth €5m as a fixed base plus bonuses could represent the key to making everyone happy and thus allowing Krunic to leave Milan and join his compatriot Edin Džeko in Turkey, especially after Stefano Pioli basically admitted he is not part of his plans.

If Krunic leaves, how could Milan replace him? The club believe a lot in the growth and development of Kevin Zeroli – who is around the first team after starring for the Primavera – but it is likely that a replacement for the Bosnian will be signed.

One of the names that that directors Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio really like is Lewis Ferguson of Bologna, a Scotland international who has actually become captain this season.

He has played 19 games so far this season for the Rossoblu, with four goals and four assists across all competitions. Ferguson could be a valid profile to invest in, though Thiago Motta would not appreciate losing such a key player mid-season of course.

  1. LOL. The story was this sustainable model and great transfer window. Suddenly there are 30M targets for January, where did the budget magically appear from? From dropping out of CL early? You can’t make this up, this is clowning 101. How to prove everyone you were wrong mid season and start buying the players you should have at the beginning. Remember, it is the same budget, if they can spend now they could have spent it in July or August.

    1. You’re calling the club out for clowning after reading an article that was based on an article that was based on an article from a nothing website. Chill.

The only way we are spending that kind of money this month is if someone leaves for a pay rise in England. Which could happen because WE ARE sustainable.

      1. LOL. It’s amazing how people just boil over on “news” from a “news” aggregating website. Tomorrow there will be an article saying the opposite, that we won’t sign another midfielder if Krunic leaves because we got Terraciano and Zeroli is also there, and the same people will have a fit because we’re not spending any money.

    2. Same dude will complain that the owners are cheap and won’t spend. Then complains if they do. Some people are just angry and like to complain. Probably a Krunic supporter.

  2. Ferguson has been very impressive this season so I was hoping Milan would pick him up at some point. Great baller with some of that old school grinta 🔥

      1. Do you think Motta will come to Milan, because Pioli after the Atalanta game will be his swan song

I guess supporter are very happy with the last game?
I’m just hard to please and yes it was against Empoli and not Inter or Juve, Roma, Lazio and Atalanta otherwise.
Pioli had another injury in that game too?

        1. I’m talking about the summer. At this moment I think all bets are off. We seem to be coming through the “dark” period. If Pioli finishes strongly, as in undisputed 3rd place, closing the gap to the top two, or even finishing 2nd, and makes a run to at least the EL semis, then there is even a possibility he remains. I have mixed feelings about this, because I think this is exactly Pioli’s ceiling. It’s would be a difficult firing, but at the same time I want to actually challenge for the title and qualify for the CL knockouts each time. I guess we have to wait and see.

  3. I thought the 5m was supposed to pay for Terra? And how do we prise Ferguson away from Bologna, isn’t he their captain?? And one of their best players this season. Surely he costs more than 5m and looking at how he plays, probably wayyyy more.

  4. This reader’s section never ceases to amuses, I mean, where else you can find so called ‘fans’ that doesn’t like to see their side being reinforced? It’s really marvellous, “believe it or not” kind of stuff… 😂😂😂

    1. Yeah, funny how most people love to live in the past and b*tch just for the sake of b*tching. Getting Ferguson to replace Krunic is like getting Jovic to replace Lazetic. 😀

    1. According to transfermarket he is more of a 10 and sometimes an 8.
I don’t understand why our management keeps forgetting about a 6.
