Tuttosport: Milan learn asking price as Maldini makes enquiry over Ligue 1 midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have asked Bordeaux for information about their Croatian midfielder Toma Basic, according to a report.

SportskaCentrala reported yesterday that Milan are strongly interested in former Hajduk Split star Toma Bašić, even adding that the 23-year-old midfielder will apparently complete a move to the San Siro for €10million.

Basic signed for the Girondins in August 2018, and since then he has played 48 matches, scoring six goals and adding three assists and is apparently considered as the replacement for Rade Krunic.

Krunic is an €8m target for Bundesliga side SC Freiburg, with the Rossoneri happy to offload the player after a difficult year.

Now, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting that Milan indeed do have interest in signing Basic so much so that technical director Paolo Maldini has asked Bordeaux for information.

The request of the Ligue 1 club is €10million, meaning the sale of Krunic for the aforementioned €8m would cover most of the fee required.
