Tuttosport: Milan remain interested in Atalanta playmaker due to four key reasons

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Josip Ilicic from Atalanta as there are a number of attractive factors, according to a report.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan have a list of targets for the attacking midfield role and Ilicic’s name is one that has not yet been scribbled out, but rather remains there and in ink.

The 33-year-old is a profile that the Rossoneri like despite his agent because of four particular reasons. The first is his limited cost given that his deal expires in 2022 and he appears to have a bad relationship with Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini.

The second is the experience he would bring to a young attack, the third is the physicality of his game and the fifth is that he would need no time to adapt to the league, being an already established Serie A performer.
