AC Milan are set to meet with Torino president Urbano Cairo to discuss the future of Soualiho Meite, according to a report.
Meite arrived in January amid some scepticism given he wasn’t featuring regularly in a struggling side. He joined on a loan with option to buy and the adaptation from a relegation battle to a Scudetto fight was not exactly the smoothest transition, as at first Meite seemed awkward and out of place with both the pace of play and the intensity, but gradually he is beginning to show his worth.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), it seems difficult to imagine him staying beyond the end of the season at the moment as it would cost around €8m that Milan could allocate to other objectives. It must be considered that in the summer Tommaso Pobega – who has had a good season with Spezia – will return to base and could fill that spot.
In the next few days a meeting is scheduled between the management of Milan and the president of Torino, Urbano Cairo, to talk about the midfielder.
