Tuttosport: Milan to meet with Man Utd in January to discuss deal for wide man

By Oliver Fisher -

Diogo Dalot was AC Milan’s last signing of the summer window, and although it was a dry loan there will be contacts over a permanent deal.

That is according to Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) which claims that the Rossoneri will meet with Manchester United during January to discuss the possibility of extending Dalot’s stay beyond June 2021.

Stefano Pioli will almost certainly get plenty of use out of the 21-year-old in the coming weeks given the hectic schedule that awaits over the next few weeks and months, also given the fact Andrea Conti is still far from his best shape and Calabria will need rest.

The club are well prepared to try and sign Dalot permanently, also because Maldini and Massara are convinced by what he offers. However, the full-back will have to demonstrate on the pitch that he can adapt well and has a future beyond next June.
