Tuttosport: Milan’s centre-back hunt has stalled due to stance of PSG and Spurs

By Oliver Fisher -

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work to sign a new central defender after they bolstered the attack by signing Charles De Ketelaere.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports how a new centre-back is among Stefano Pioli’s requests for the last few weeks of the transfer market given that Alessio Romagnoli left on a free transfer and has not yet been replaced numerically while there are doubts about how Simon Kjaer will be after his injury.

Japhet Tanganga of Tottenham and Abdou Diallo of Paris Saint-Germain are the two options being most concretely considered by the directors, but both of their respective clubs are asking for an obligation to buy as part of any potential loan deal.

Milan meanwhile want a loan with the option to make it permanent next summer, so for there to be some movement on either front a concession will have to be made by either Milan, Spurs or PSG.
