Tuttosport: Origi may not be Milan’s only striker signing this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

Divock Origi might not be the only striker to arrive at AC Milan this summer as the management have an idea in mind, a report claims.

According to what Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting today, Milan are keen on bolstering the quality of the attack in the right wing and playmaker roles, but they are also willing to look for a a young striker as a profile who can grow behind Divock Origi in the coming seasons.

The feeling is that given Olivier Giroud turns 36 in September and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is out until January and is into his 40s, some fresh blood is needed to ensure physical guarantees for the centre-forward role moving forward.

No names are mentioned by the newspaper, but it is worth remembering that certain targets have already been mentioned who would correspond to the role, such as Giacomo Raspadori of Sassuolo. It is certainly a situation to monitor moving forward.

    1. Exactly. That is why the 30 mill+ euros asking price is a no-brainer for me. He has even played as a central midfielder in some games for Brugge this season.

  1. Get Belotti we already need one more local grown player. We get him for free, what’s the worst case? Sell him for little profit next summer if things don’t work out?

    1. I doubt Belotti who is in his prime years would like to come and be 3rd and when Ibra comes back, 4th choice striker at Milan. His signing would have made sense if Milan didn’t sign Origi.
Milan will not be signing another striker this summer. I agree with Gigi, CDK will be used there , plus don’t forget that Rebic and Leao can play as a striker too.
As per usual another silly article by Tuttosport

    2. I absolutely agree with you, Belotti should be signed to compete with Origi, he already knows the league, He’s Italian, He’s Rossoneri, He’s on a bisman.
I don’t see Milan continuing with Zlatan and Giroud beyond this season
