Tuttosport: Pioli to rotate against Sparta Praha but the message behind playing Ibra is clear

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will make changes to his starting XI for Thursday’s game against Sparta Praha, but not in every position.

As Tuttosport reports (via MilanNews), Pioli knows well that closing qualification as early as possible could have a huge advantage in terms of the league, so he is looking to get as many points on the board as possible as early as possible.

That is why Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in line to start against, and the Swede will be looking to close the game as soon as possible. Behind him will be the same trio that started in the 3-1 win over Celtic last week with Samu Castillejo on the right, Rade Krunic the playmaker and Brahim Diaz on the left.

In the midfield, Pioli could give Kessié a rest, choosing instead to field Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer. In defence, Diogo Dalot should take over from Theo Hernandez who needs a rest, with Davide Calabria on the opposite flank and the Kjaer-Romagnoli pairing in front of Tatarusanu.
