AC Milan take on Napoli this weekend in Serie A and they will have to be very wary of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with the winger sure to pose a threat.
As pointed out by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Davide Calabria is the Milan player who will be tasked with ensuring that the Georgian is not able to find the back of the net.
Kvaratskhelia could get even more focus than normal given Milan do not have to think about Victor Osimhen, as he will be playing in the Africa Cup of Nations final with Nigeria.
Kvaratskhelia is expected to be playing on the left wing which makes him Calabria’s problem, although there are some suggestions that he will play in a central role behind Giovanni Simeone. That would change Milan’s defensive approach, but he is sure to drift all around the pitch.
He has not been having as good a season this year when compared to 2022/23, but he issued a reminder of his talent in the last game with an incredible goal to win the game for Napoli against Verona late on.
He will have a point to prove against Milan and Napoli badly need three points, so Calabria will have to watch the Georgian very closely.
