Tuttosport: PSG and West Ham duo on Milan’s six-man list of striker targets

AC Milan need a new striker during the summer transfer window and they have targeted Gianluca Scamacca, according to a report.

Olivier Giroud will turn 37 in September and cannot be relied upon as much as he has been this season, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic might retire plus Divock Origi and Ante Rebic have failed to live up to expectations.

Therefore, it will be essential for the club to find the right profile for the attacking department, and today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) talks about the potential list that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have.

There are some profiles in Ligue 1 that appeal, such as Lois Openda of RC Lens, Folarin Balogun of Stade Reims (owned by Arsenal) and Hugo Ekitiké of Paris Saint-Germain. Marko Arnautovic of Bologna is also being considered, but he is 34.

Mateo Retegui of Tigre is being evaluated, while Gianluca Scamacca’s name has not gone away either. West Ham spent €36m plus bonuses to sign him from Sassuolo but he has only 8 goals in 27 games, 16 of which were starts.

His season ended early due to a meniscus injury to his right knee which forced him to undergo surgery, but he could return to Italy on loan with option to buy for around €20-25m.
