It appears as though Alessio Romagnoli has become frustrated with the fact he is suffering from reduced playing time, a report claims.
The future of Romagnoli is uncertain despite his rank as club captain, having lost his spot in the starting line-up to loanee Fikayo Tomori and with just a year left on his contract, leading to a crossroads regarding whether his six-year tenure with the Rossoneri will continue.
As Tuttosport reports (via MilanLive), Romagnoli is frustrated with Milan because he risks losing a spot in the Italy squad for Euro 2021 due to the fact he is repeatedly being benched. Coach Roberto Mancini could leave him out of the squad given the few matches played in recent months.
With his starting spot lost, a place at the Euros at risk and a very complicated contract renewal situation, the clues could lead Romagnoli leaving Milan without too much remorse in the summer. The Rossoneri could seriously consider his sacrifice, so as to finance other signings.
Juventus are watching too as the Bianconeri are looking for a reliable player younger than Bonucci and Chiellini to form part of the back line for the future.
