Tuttosport: Simakan’s arrival draws nearer – what it means for Musacchio and Duarte

By Oliver Fisher -

All the media attention at the moment is surrounding the possible signing of Mohamed Simakan, which pushes two current Milan defenders further out of the plans.

However, there must also be some attention paid to the market concerning possible outgoings, as new signings should in theory be balanced by sales or loan exits to keep the squad number at a reasonable figure.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the arrival of Simakan is more and more probable and Milan could therefore look to thin out the defensive department where Romagnoli, Kjaer, Gabbia and Kalulu are absolutely untouchable.

The paper adds that Mateo Musacchio does not seem willing to leave in January and thus should reach the natural expiration of the contract in June and exit on a free transfer.

However, another defender who has fallen by the wayside in recent weeks since recovering from injury – Leo Duarte – could leave on loan to play continuously.
