Tuttosport: Talks over Spurs defender frozen but Milan could try again in the coming weeks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are currently not advancing anywhere regarding a potential deal for Spurs defender Serge Aurier, a report claims.

In the last few days, after what can only be described as a slow start, Milan have been very active on the transfer market. They are currently working on bringing in three players in; namely the midfield trio of Brahim Diaz, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Sandro Tonali.

Over the weekend though Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Milan have not forgotten about their right-back problems and are still interested in Aurier, although the negotiations have inevitably slowed.

Tottenham are asking for €20m to part ways with the Ivorian, while the Rossoneri have offered a tad under €15m.

According to Tuesday’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the track leading to Aurier remains frozen for now.

They add that Milan’s management have ‘let go’ of the Tottenham full-back for the moment. The former PSG man, however, could become a target again in the coming weeks.
