Tuttosport: The rating of Milan’s 2020 summer transfer window – high score but one flaw

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were given a high score of 8 out of 10 for their 2020 summer transfer window by the newspaper Tuttosport.

You can read a summary of all the Rossoneri’s summer signings here, and although it ended up being a quiet transfer deadline day Milan were able to get a number of notable deals done during the window.

They managed to secure the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who signed a new one-year contract, while Ante Rebic’s loan move was made into a permanent deal.

Diogo Dalot and Brahim Diaz both arrived on dry loans, with Sandro Tonali, Ciprian Tatarusanu and Jens Petter Hauge arriving from Brescia, Lyon and Bodo/Glimt respectively.

Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) believes that Maldini and Massara passed the summer test with flying colours. According to the Turin-based paper, the Rossoneri management deserve an 8 for the campaign conducted in recent months, when factoring in sales too like Lucas Paqueta.

The failure to sign a defender is certainly a flaw, but otherwise Maldini and Massara did a great job.
