UEFA will begin the process of examining Toulouse and AC Milan next week, a report claims, given that the two have the same owner RedBird Capital.
According to Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), UEFA intend to analyse the two clubs after Toulouse achieved participation a spot in the Europa League by winning the Coupe de France, while Milan gained access to the next edition Champions League.
It is a risky situation for UEFA considering that the two teams could meet in the Europa League if Milan were to finish in third place the group stage and thus drop into the competition, providing that Toulouse get through their group.
According to UEFA regulations it is forbidden for two clubs playing in European competitions to have the same ownership group. A decision should be made next week, at the end of the checks and evaluations that the federal body will carry out starting from Monday.
Could be nice if they forced RedBird to sell Milan because of that.
if redbird were to get forced to sell a club they would choose toulouse as they have a better chance of maximizing the profit more easily with milan as toulouse has its limitations.
No! @bb didn’t write this! Did someone hack @bb’s account, because Lord Poli of the Cardinale fart sniffer clan can’t accept this!
I honestly can’t remember when I read a more sophisticated comment on this site. Well done. Much appreciated. Keep up the good work, kid. You’re doing great and will be going to places. The sky is the limit for you. For sure. For sure.
That is good, Redbird is useless owner!
Totally agree
Red Bull has been doing it. I don’t see why Milan can’t?
Didn’t RB Leipzig played vs RB Salzburg in the Europa league few years back?
Isn’t Leipzig owned by people who work at Red Bull instead of directly by Red Bull?
According to Antonio Vitiello on Twitter, Jerry resigned from his chair at the board of Toulouse so both teams could play in UEFA competitions in the same time.
Only one way to sort this. A bye for Milan straight into the knock-out stages of CL.
