AC Milan may look to try and bring forward the signing of Marco Sportiello from Atalanta but a couple of obstacles currently stand in the way, a report claims.
According to what SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are reporting, Milan waiting to understand how long Mike Maignan will be out and in the meantime they are taking precautions with the January transfer window coming up to ensure they are not left without a reliable goalkeeper.
That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are trying to bring forward the signing Sportiello, with whom terms have already been agreed ahead of the summer window when he will be available on a free transfer.
However, there are two obstacles: the first is an economic one as the Bergamo club want compensation to let Sportiello leave six months before his deal with them expires, and the second is a sporting one because Gasperini wants a reliable deputy to Juan Musso.
In the last few hours there have been rumours of a possible early return to Atalanta for Pierluigi Gollini, currently on loan with option to buy at Fiorentina, but the player left Atalanta on bad terms and therefore it is not an easy move to close.
