Tuttosport: Two things would see Milan try for €60m man but Renato Sanches talks continue

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are dreaming of making a big name signing for the midfield department with two names under consideration, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews) Milan seem willing to make a new attempt in the coming months to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio having tried hard to get him in the summer of 2018.

Although he has a contract with the Biancocelesti until 2024 and has 10 goals and 11 assists in the league thus driving his price up, the Serbian may want to change clubs and playing in the Champions League is his major aim, something the Rossoneri can offer.

Around €60m would be needed to sign him and Milan would like to try again, but two conditions are fundamental: first of all winning the Scudetto and then the change of ownership, with Investcorp likely to have a bigger budget available.

However, because of the costs and conditions involved the Rossoneri management are also keeping other options alive, such as the one for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches. After recent positive talks with his agent Jorge Mendes, the Diavolo are ready to move forward and his arrival would rule out SMS joining.

  1. SMS is more important than RSC, I hope Milan management must consider this. We really need SMS because, he is our Target since before RSC.
