Venezia midfielder Gianluca Busio is expecting a tough game against AC Milan at San Siro on Saturday night, but also sees it as an opportunity to prove they belong in the top flight.
The Venetians make the trip to San Siro having had a tough start to the season with games against Lazio, Fiorentina and Torino which have yielded just one point from nine, but there were positives to take in the latter two games including a 0-0 draw with La Viola.
They face a Milan side that are having a confidence crisis after also having failed to win in their opening three league games, so they could strike at the right time. Busio will meet two opponents he knows well in Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah, two fellow USA internationals.
Busio gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he also spoke about the match against Milan on Saturday night, and his comments were relayed by MilanPress.
“Obviously it will be tough, Milan have quality, but we have it too and we will do everything to show it,” he began.
“San Siro is not an easy place for those who have never played there, but we have quite a few guys who have already experienced it and can help the others. It will be a good test at this stage of the season. We are ready, we deserve Serie A.”
