Hellas Verona’s sporting director Sean Sogliano has admitted that midfielder Reda Belahyane is in demand, and AC Milan are among the teams linked.
Calciomercato.com have published an update on the situation linked to Belahyane, starting with Sogliano’s comments as he spoke at the Festival del Calcio about what the future might hold.
“Belahyane is a young guy who has some demands. We have to live with this. Will he stay behind January? If I could I would keep them all, let’s see. His asking price? The president will decide,” he said.
The report adds that Milan are indeed admirers of Belahyane, a Moroccan international with French citizenship. His performances this season have attracted the concrete interest of Geoffrey Moncada, who had been following him since his time at OGC Nice.
The demands at present are in the €8-10m range to sanction a sale in the January window. In the past few days there have been some discussions between the Rossoneri management and DW Sports Management, the agency that manages the 20-year-old.
Despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s enigmatic comments suggesting that the club are not looking to strengthen in January, it appears that Belahyane is an opportunity they are in fact looking to pounce upon.
So what’s the plan with him, where’s he going to play?
Is he Reijnder’s understudy? What about Zeroli, the Futuro captain? Are we just going to waste another of our talents as usual?
Is he Fofana’s understudy? Cause he doesn’t seem that typy of player to me. He’s more like Bennacer.
All in all, we need a ready player with immediate impact that can cover and will be a step up in both quality and quantity.
This kid seems like another “could be” signing who’s cheap and has potential regardless if he’ll fit into the system. Kind of like Voss. And btw what’s with that kid? After a good showing in the beginning he just disappeared from the headlines.
welcome to milan, a home of vanished talents. Fonseca is either the most clueless coach i have ever seen in football history or the mgmt is the most useless mgmt that have managed milan since the banta era.
we are struggling in the mid. and we have players like zeroli, vos, liberalli and musah in milan and yet Fonseca can’t solve the mid problem and yet we want him to solve th def line. what a dream.
do what talent is he developing? who has he revitalize so far? most of this players are only performing good bcos they are in a well settled environment. not bcos of the coach wonders.
Mr fon is good but only for teams aiming for Position 4-8 at the end of the season not teams with actual ambition. we are cooked this season as we might not make UCL next season. i’m sure Motta will make sure of that 😂
This is overreacting.
When we signed Benny and Krunic, they got the same scrutiny. If the player is talented and they see a role for him, I’m all for it.
Zeroli and Vos should focus on Futuro and winning games before playing for the first team.
Musah is playing, but he is not exactly a starter for this team.
Zeroli will be 20 years old in a month. He’s Futuro captain so that says something about his character. I think he’s ready for the first team and as Reijnders understudy at least.
Liberali is still 17 so he still has time and should be kept in Futuro for now.
Have you seen what Roma is cooking? What about Genoa? LOL!!!
Just saying, thing could be A LOT worse! hahaha
All these kids are for the futuro. Doubt any of them start with the first team.
Let’s face the truth: Vos and Zeroli are nothing more than “prospects for profit” for Milan. Neither of them will be given a chance to prove themselves here.
“the concrete interest of Geoffrey Moncada, who had been following him since his time at OGC Nice.”
LOL. Just like what I’ve been saying for quite some time now. Moncada isn’t doing ANY scouting these days but only relies on his old reports/notes from 5-10 years ago. That’s how we landed the legendary Emerson Royal. Based on old notes.
Moncada probably doesn’t even know Lamal as he’s too “fresh” for him.
A good scout has a proper scouting network. They all do. Moncada can’t be everywhere all at once. Basic scouting 101.
Moncada was using Luis Campis’ scouting network at Monaco. It seems to me and this is my guess is that Moncada is more reliant on the data side than sending actual scouts for the eye test.
