According to the latest from Antonio Vitiello on his YouTube channel, in the last few hours there have been some ‘significant contacts’ between Ibrahimović and Conte.
He adds that it is no secret that the Swede ‘wants the Italian to be Milan’s new coach next season’, however no agreement between the parties has yet been reported.
Moreover, there are no confirmations from Milan regarding the news but that is to be expected, given that the season is still ongoing and Stefano Pioli is in charge.
It comes after TeleLombardia (via FootballItalia) reported this morning that Conte has accepted the terms offered by Milan and that he will take over when Pioli leaves the club, which is likely to be at the end of the season.
They also stated that talks with Ibrahimovic over the role were key, given the mutual respect the pair have for each others’ work and careers.
At this point, we must state that the information we have is that Conte is not a candidate that the Milan management are considering due to various factors, including his demanding nature and his salary.
