Vitiello: A near sell-out – Milan-Napoli heading for 72k attendance at San Siro

When Napoli travel to San Siro on Tuesday they will be met by a near-full AC Milan crowd at the iconic stadium, a report has suggested today.

Tuesday’s Serie A clash has the hallmarks to be make or break for Milan’s season, and Paulo Fonseca will be looking to record another victory against a Scudetto-favourite after toppling Inter earlier this season.

It is possible that the Partenopei could go 11 points clear of the hosts tomorrow night, and whilst the hosts have a game in hand (which would only reduce it to a maximum of an eight-point gap on current standings) it would likely be too much of a gap to claw back.

For this reason, the Diavolo will be hoping for as much support as possible at San Siro tomorrow, and according to Antonio Vitiello, a near sell-out crowd is expected for the fixture with 72,000 fans expected to be in attendance.

It is possible that the attendees will be given an opportunity to watch Francesco Camarda feature again, given Alvaro Morata is the only fit first-team striker available to Paulo Fonseca at present. The 16-year-old, therefore, should be named on the bench tomorrow night and could have another cameo in the latter stages.
