CM: Vranckx working hard to convince Milan with a €10m deal on the line

By Oliver Fisher -

Aster Vranckx is determined to show his quality and convince AC Milan to sign him permanently next summer, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recall how in the friendly against Arsenal, Vranckx appeared a player that wanted to demonstrate his importance and energy having collected just 45 minutes of playing time in 4 appearances with the Rossoneri since joining.

The 20-year-old has worked hard in the time off granted for the World Cup to put power and strength in his legs in view of the next six months, which will be fundamental for Milan but also for his future.

At present, the chances of Vranckx saying farewell at the end of the season remain higher than the chances of him staying, but the Belgium U21 international knows he has the time necessary to show he is worthy of the investment.

Ricky Massara was the one who wanted to sign him above anyone having followed Vranckx closely since his days at Mechelen, and he was able to leverage his excellent relations with both Wolfsburg and with the intermediaries involved in the deal.

In the end the operation was as follows: a €1.5m loan with an option to buy set at €10m and €500k in further possible bonuses. It is a figure that Aster is convinced he is worth, and now he must build on yesterday’s performance in Dubai, and of course the cross against Fiorentina that lead to the winner in the game before the break.
