GdS: Wages a stumbling block for continued Milan interest in Chelsea winger

By Euan Burns -

The wage demands of Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech mean that AC Milan’s continued interest in the Moroccan could be for nothing, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport on Wednesday (via Milan News), the Rossoneri have maintained their interest in Ziyech through to the other side of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, but it still may not result in a move.

He is the profile of attacker that the club really wants to add to the squad, as he is experienced and technically gifted, whilst not at the end of his career.

The issue is that he is earning more money right now at Chelsea than Milan are able to offer him for a January move.

He is earning €6 million per season in London and having played so well for Morocco at the World Cup, his entourage could start to request figures like €7-8 million instead given there is plenty of interest in him.
