While Lorenzo Colombo and Marco Nasti might have stolen the headlines with their goals against Manchester City, Mattia Liberali’s cameo off the bench is also generating discussion.
As ScoutCalcio highlights in his video below, what stood out most from Liberali’s substitute appearance was how smart he was in his movement. He scanned for spaces and moved into them to manipulate Manchester City’s shape, creating gaps in other areas to exploit.
After starting the game against Rapid Wien, it is a sign that Paulo Fonseca has faith in the teenager, who is expected to be part of Daniele Bonera’s Milan Futuro side.

Liberali is good with the ball at his feet and has great vision. i hope he gets better at Futuro ans makes cameos for the first team.
