Krzysztof Piatek scored a decisive goal against Lecce to break his open play goal drought and give Milan the lead once again.
The Poland international had scored just once from open play in his last 13 appearances prior to coming on as a substitute against Lecce, and he made a crucial impact.
Hakan Calhanoglu – arguably Milan’s man of the match throughout – fed Piatek with a low ball inside the box which the striker finished with the killer instinct that has been lacking, restoring the lead for the Rossoneri in the process.
