Watch: Pulisic nets superb free-kick for United States against Brazil

Christian Pulisic got his name on the scoresheet for the United States last night as they drew 1-1 against Brazil in their final friendly before the Copa America.

The free-kick could hardly have been in a better position for the Milan winger as it was dead central to the goal and right on the edge of the box. However, it still needed converting and he did so smartly with a precise low shot into the bottom corner.

Yunus Musah also started for the United States, who kick off their 2024 Copa America campaign with a game against Bolivia on Monday 24 June at 00:00 CEST in Arlington (Texas). After that, they face Panama and Uruguay.

  1. Why’s it saying two nil to Brazil? Also it’s funny how Chelsea gave us this guy when he’s supposed to be in his prime. If they have to sell players again this season, I say we go there and do some more shopping. I’m thinking Broja for say €12m – €15m. I know it’s not my money but Kia’s demands are outrageous.

    1. Broja ain’t worth it. Not good enough to be our main striker, and for deputies we already have Okafor and Jovic who scored quite a lot despite their limited time.
Those 12M€-15M€ should be used elsewhere.

    1. Musah, did not struggle. He has nothing to offer other then his medicore play. His skill sets are very low. Only thing he can do is run

      1. He’s also apparently good at cracking 25 yard shots off the underside of the crossbar, bouncing it off the GK’s bum, and seeing the ball NOT go in.

It’s a very rare site to see the ball bounce off the crossbar, hit the backside of the keeper, and NOT see the ball go in. Bad luck.

  2. One freekick is always a bit of a fluke, but perhaps we could make him our main freekick taker (as opposed to Theo who never came close to scoring one).
He can work on it a bit more during the summer.

    1. So what? The only thing that matter to us is, Pulisic (OUR PLAYER) did the free kick and he scored.

I don’t care if the freekick was justisfied or not, USA lose or win. The only thing that matter, as mentioned by the article, is our player scored a good free kick.

    2. What are you talking about? Truth is, the foul was a few inches INSIDE the box, if it wasn’t on the line, and either way, that’s a PK.

The Mexican referee gave the US the short end of every decision (shocking). Period. Full stop.
