It has been a turbulent few days for Theo Hernandez with headlines swirling about his red card against Fiorentina and his AC Milan future, but he took a step towards getting out of a difficult moment with an assist for France last night.
During their 4-1 win against Israel away from home in the UEFA Nations League, the full-back picked up the ball after a roll-out from his Milan team-mate Mike Maignan, dribbled, gave it wide and then received it inside the box, squaring for Matteo Guendouzi.
The hope is that some time away with his national team will do Theo the world of good in terms of recovering confidence, and from Milan’s point of view they must also make progress on the contract renewal front.
