It has been a turbulent few days for Theo Hernandez with headlines swirling about his red card against Fiorentina and his AC Milan future, but he took a step towards getting out of a difficult moment with an assist for France last night.
During their 4-1 win against Israel away from home in the UEFA Nations League, the full-back picked up the ball after a roll-out from his Milan team-mate Mike Maignan, dribbled, gave it wide and then received it inside the box, squaring for Matteo Guendouzi.

The hope is that some time away with his national team will do Theo the world of good in terms of recovering confidence, and from Milan’s point of view they must also make progress on the contract renewal front.

I’d add I have no idea why isr*el would compete in eu nations cup. They aren’t in eu at all. Geographically. Is Egypt in eufa?
Oh already deleted my comments. 2 antisemitic?
They were expelled by other Middle East nations of their confederation decades ago and joined UEFA. Though it’s a mystery why they’re still allowed to play considering the situation.
The good old double standards at work again. And I couldn’t give a f less about them politically.
Agree with you on the double standards, though I would add it should be in the opposite direction and no country should be disallowed to participate in sport events. No place for politics in sport events. Also, it is super degrading on personal level in sports where Russian players are presented as white flags and no country.
But it isn’t as simple as that even if ideally speaking sports and politics shouldn’t go hand in hand it always will.
Big sports events cost lots of money, tax payers money invested for a few weeks entertainment that could be spend differently on more urging matters. Politicians use sport to brand themselves in regard of their own citizens and potential voters. Sport is used to “kick out racism” which is fine but nevertheless still politics. I could go on and on and on this, Sport is to a great deal influenced by politics from the decision makers to the field and to the stands.
“No place for politics in sport events.”
Sports and politics always went hand in hand, just remember the 1980 and 1984 Olympics.
The no politics is sports is just an excuse pulled when the ruling class doesn’t care about the victims or when the agressor is one of their allys.
I can live with that. It is absurd to deny athletes from participating when their politicians decide to do some BS.
Those people put years even a decade into participating in events
He really is a phenomenon.
The distance he covers and the directness is just game changing.
We can’t afford to lose him.
Pay whatever it takes. And cut all the BS and gossip.
If Fonseca can’t manage him then Fonseca needs to go.
“If Fonseca can’t manage him then Fonseca needs to go.”
But whatever Theo does is fine I guess ?
No criticism to him when he gets himself red-carded for stupid reasons or when he steals penaltys from his teammates ?
All praise the Theo. He scored more goals than Maldini. Irrelevant if he got more red cards than Maldini
Per season should I add..
More red cards than maldini per season. Because Paolo only got 3 in his 20 something years playing
yes but still is dumb to let go one of your best player and then buy some random ass player no one ever heard of
