Reports: €50m forward wants assurances from Chelsea – Milan and Juventus alerted

By Oliver Fisher -

Timo Werner is unhappy with his situation at Chelsea with AC Milan closely monitoring the development of events, a report claims.

Calciomercato.it reports how Thomas Tuchel must try and resolve the Romelu Lukaku issue because the Belgian striker is not going through a good patch of form and given the investment Chelsea made, there is no option but to get the best out of him.

This might spell bad news for Werner, who was protagonist yesterday in the FA Cup with one goal and two assists. He is not in the best moment himself and Goal are among the sources who claim that he might follow owner Roman Abramovich out of the exit door due to a lack of minutes.

The agents of the German forward – who arrived at Chelsea in 2020 for €50m from RB Leipzig (via Wiki) – will have a meeting with the English club in the coming days to understand the future of the 25-year-old. Werner wants reassurance that he is central to Tuchel’s plans for next season, otherwise he would be ready to ask for the sale.

Milan are looking for new faces in attack and they are keeping an eye on how things develop in west London, while the report adds that even Juventus are keeping an eye on him, with doubts about Dybala and Morata’s future.
