While it is always better to get business done sooner rather than later, AC Milan can take comfort from the fact they can have patience while conducting their market.

Calciomercato.com write that Milan have clear ideas about the transfer market even though the start of the preseason is scheduled for July 4. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not in a hurry and they have no intentions of being pressured into bad deals, while Inter chief Beppe Marotta admitted earlier in the week that he wants their market to be almost done by the end of June.
Milan do not have the immediate need to raise money and replace any starters, while it must be remembered that four players will arrive to strengthen the squad. The first two are loan returns in Yacine Adli from Bordeaux and Tommaso Pobega from Torino, while new additions Divock Origi (should undergo medical examinations next week) and Renato Sanches from Lille should also arrive barring surprises.
Of course there are still players needed in defence and attack, with Lille’s Sven Botman remaining a first choice for the former while Noa Lang and Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge top the wish list for the attacking department.
The report mentions to ‘watch out for possible surprises’ because the main aim of Maldini and Massara is to give Pioli a better team than last season, full of options and alternatives, and quality depth.
