Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Theo Hernandez and he has not instantly rebuffed the idea, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Hernandez’s future at Milan is now more than ever ‘a very important puzzle to unravel’. The issue related to his contract, which expires on 30 June 2026, requires an acceleration in the decision-making from the directors.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have been linked in the past few months but now the interest of another European big club has emerged: Manchester United. The Red Devils are a club with a large wallet and the ability to offer Theo a higher salary than the one he gets at Milan.
The Swiss version of Sky Sports reported that Omar Berrada – the United CEO and a right-hand man to the owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe – has been given the mandate to find a new left-back. Alphonso Davies and Theo are the two top priorities.
Milan are aware of this and are continuing to push along with a difficult negotiation to renew his deal. Geoffrey Moncada in his most recent interview declared: “We started negotiations two months ago. I can say that we are in a good position. Everyone is really happy, I haven’t seen anyone who wants to leave.”
The distance between the will and the reality is entirely economic: Theo who would like to get the same salary as Rafael Leao (€7m net per season, including bonuses) while the Rossoneri only want to offer him a small pay rise from his current €4.5m per year.
For this reason the left-back is not closing the door to a farewell, which will encourage the Premier League side. What Milan wants to avoid is dragging out this negotiation for too long, because arriving at next summer without anything signed would mean the clock ticking down to 12 months.
