After strengthening the defence with Mario Gila and the attack with Gonçalo Ramos, the next request from Ruben Amorim is a playmaker.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Amorim has asked the management for a new attacking midfielder. Various players have been linked in recent weeks, but in the last few hours the name of Nicolò Zaniolo has been gaining momentum.

A market opportunity
Milan’s management has already had contact and meetings with Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli. It’s no secret that the former Roma star is currently locked in a tug-of-war with Udinese over a new contract, and there doesn’t seem to be much chance of reaching an agreement at the moment.
Adding to the tension between the parties is Zaniolo’s decision not to attend training (he presented a medical certificate to justify his absence). The forward’s departure seems the most likely scenario at present, and the player is reportedly eyeing Milan in particular.
His agent visited the Rossoneri headquarters on Tuesday evening, and yesterday he had another meeting with Udinese. It should also be remembered that the Udinese management was at Casa Milan on July 8 and Zaniolo – valued at €15-20m – was one of the names on the table.
He is not the only name being considered, though. In addition to the youngsters Konstantinos Karetsas and Kerim Alajbegovic – who are being courted by Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta respectively – a new idea has emerged in the last few hours: Phil Foden.
His contract with Manchester City expires in a year and the Englishman would bring not only great quality, but also a strong personality and a winning experience. It remains to be seen whether this suggestion will develop into something more concrete in the coming weeks.

Diaz isn’t underrated. He’s too short. He’s weak and occasionally has good games. He’s a non-event in a strong team, way down the list of important players at Real Madrid. Guler on loan would be a far better option.

Leao should stay, he is our legend, our only top player, only mbappe is better than him, remember his coach once said he was better than CR7 at sporting, i think under amorim he will score just like CR7.
he has been at real for longer time now than he was with us. whether you like that fact or not, that level of exposure elevates you and you can see it in his play. I recommend to watch some of Reals games to see how the old unsure player is no more…
even aside the generic profile which fits like a glove here, unlike Leao who won’t run back, Diaz is all about the team.
Leao is a Spanish league player… with low blocks the only strategy with Leao is gun and run which Pioli had.

Foden salary is 11.7 mln a year. Unless u can give leao salary which im not sure hes gonna take almost 5 mln cut. No to mention city price on him
Same dilemma for every player at a top club though. Excluding Saudi there are approx 10 clubs in the world that can pay that money and if none of them want him he has to take a pay cut. Can’t see Mourinho wanting him, Barca have just signed GordddonnnF**kYou🤣 9which I think is officially his name now), Bayern are sorted, PSG are sorted, Utd and Liverpool are out of the question…His options are basically London or pay cut, and he might not want to go to another English team.

If they wanted to satisfy Amorim they would sign Hjulmand Inacio Silva and Trincao but 3 out of 4 already agreed with other teams

A truly talented Trequartista, or a footballer that doesn’t know how to function outside of Guardiola’s system. The choice is easy, leave the English where they are, if we take a look at history we’ve always done terrible when we’ve got English footballers in the squad.

Foden is a local Manchester boy and City his boyhood team. Would take something extreme to make him leave. And City will never sell him unless a ridiculous offer like 100 mil + arrives from a top team (Guardiola told Maresca to not sell him for even 430 mil, remember?).
His price and salary are way out of range of any italian club. The fact that hes being linked to Galatasaray and Milan is just hilarious clickbait.
Zaniolo is a much more realistic buy this mercato. Then next summer if Zaniolo or Chukwueze doesnt work out as our ARM, go hard for a top name.
