Roma forward Nicolò Zaniolo is interested in joining AC Milan this summer but a lot depends on his renewal, according to a report.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) writes how Zaniolo would be fascinated by the idea of returning to Milano having spent time as a youth player with the Rossoneri’s city rivals Inter. Milan are following him closely and will discuss Zaniolo with the Giallorossi when they talk about the permanent signing of Alessandro Florenzi.
The last word regarding Zaniolo’s future in the capital however will depend on Roma, who have to discuss a renewal at the end of the season. To date, the asking price set by Friedkin for the Italy international is around €60-70m, but that is a figure that could drop significantly if the parties fail to find an agreement over an extension.
In addition to the Rossoneri, Juventus and several Premier League clubs including Tottenham are keen on signing Zaniolo.

Great idea but not for anywhere near 60-70m, outrageous price…. more like half of that, 25-30m, then it’s reasonable.
I like his game and he’s only 22 so good potential; but paying that much for someone who has already had TWO ACL/knee problems/surgeries is way too risky and expensive. Roma turned down an offer already this week from a Premier League club; so of course someone will overpay for him — it just ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT be Milan. Stay away and let someone else take the expensive unnecessary risk.

For me it depends what will we get instead? Berardi for 40M? Add another 10-15 and get Zaniolo. If Berardi is 20M or less it makes more sense, but Zaniolo is potentially best in the world at RW.

He’s worth that now for sure. Without those injuries guy was looking like he had all the potential in the world and would likely have been 50+ by now (disregarding Romas outrageous valuation of course)
Well you don’t think a football club like Milan would pay 70M for someone with permanent damage? They wouldn’t pay 70 for anyone. 😂 And if they buy Zaniolo, all the medicals will have to check out. But he is worth 40-50M as is, a super talent on a position that is one of the hardest to find.
