AC Milan’s interest in Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo has been relayed by yet another source, with the management watching developments regarding his future.
MilanNews confirms that Zaniolo has been told he can leave Roma with the forward refusing the call-up for this afternoon’s match against Spezia. The breakdown in relations is evident and the parties are working to find the best possible solution even before the end of the month, given his deal expires in June 2024.
Milan are watching Zaniolo’s situation carefully and it is no mystery that the Giallorossi’s No.22 enjoys the esteem and approval of the management, especially Ricky Massara who knows the 23-year-old well.
During the last summer window there were contacts between the two clubs about Zaniolo as an enquiry, but they never continued in a serious way. Now though the player considers his adventure in the capital over, and he would prefer to stay in Italy and would therefore welcome a possible move to the Rossoneri.
However, the most economically interesting offers could come from abroad, both for Roma and both for the player. Roma want €35m to sell despite the fact that Zaniolo is now out of the squad and his contract is expiring in 18 months.
At the moment there are no negotiations in progress between Milan and Roma, with the Diavolo waiting to understand how things will pan out if Tottenham, West Ham and Brighton make a move, all of whom are very interested.
I’d pay 2M€ for him. Max.
