AC Milan’s pursuit of a new winger has not ended yet and Chelsea have opened to selling Hakim Ziyech, according to a report.
According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), any chances of Milan signing Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma before the window closes in four days have now vanished as the two clubs were unable to reach an agreement over the figures or formula of a potential deal.
However, the market might not be closed just yet as the Ziyech option remains alive for Milan. The Morocco international will not be able to leave Chelsea on loan because they have already reached the maximum numbers of players loaned out, but can leave on a permanent deal.
The Premier League club have set their initial asking price at €20m but given the huge January spending spree they have been on and the limited playing time available to the former Ajax man, the price is negotiable.
The Rossoneri have another factor on their side: they could benefit from the Growth Decree if he were to sign a deal of more than two years, reducing the overall costs of the operation.
Even in 5 years from now – at ~35 – he’ll still be better than Zaniolo ever will be. Right call to drop Zaniolo and try for Ziyech instead.
And it isn’t only about being a better player, there is so many red flags when it comes to Zaniolo. From his extensive injury history to his behavior and attitude on the field.
Based on transfermarkt, the guy has more yellow cards in his serie A career than goals and assists combined . And his job is to score goals or assist someone in scoring a goal.
Zyiech is a 30 year old player with 0 good seasons in a top tier league. He spent his adult career in Netherlands. He isn’t better than anyone. “Z”, you do understand that Zaniolo has better numbers than Zyiech? 😀 He was also injured most of the last season. 😀 Incredible, how you make up stuff for someone to sound better. Zyiech numbers at Chelsea are similar to Messias at Milan. TOP PLAYERS!!!!
Give me Zaniolo numbers compared to Ziyech.
If Ziyech numbers at Chelsea are similar to Messias, then that means he has better production than Zaniolo, because Messias has better numbers than Zaniolo, whose numbers are similar to Saelemakers.
Also, not having great numbers at the best league in the world and one of the best clubs doesn’t mean that he won’t be good when he comes to a lower level league like serie A
Look at Tomori and Giroud.
Bench warmers at Chelsea, starters at Milan.
People need to wake up serie A is not a high quality league anymore.
Only players that come to Italy are young players who use it as a launching pad, older players who use it as a pre retirement experience or flops who use it to revive their careers.
Zaniolo does not have better numbers than Ziyech. In fact, last season, Ziyech had significantly better numbers. Both finished the season with 7 goal contributions in the league, but Zaniolo had a goal contribution every 282 minutes, whereas Ziyech had a goal contribution every 188 minutes.
What I find amazing is that the ownership told Maldini to go after Ziyech instead of Zaniolo. Then didnt give him the funds to do it. LOL
Rumours say this is what has been said. We don’t actually know.
They simply thought Ziyech could go on loan, as it’s the only option when don’t have any budget. But boo freakin hoo
Before the world cu many people didn’t want ziyech, and now he’s the saviour
