Di Marzio: Milan talks with Chelsea for Bakayoko still ongoing – the situation

By Nikita Fesyukov -

Tiemoue Bakayoko is AC Milan’s next transfer market objective after the Rossoneri management completed the signing of Brahim Diaz and will soon officialize Sandro Tonali’s move. However, talks with Chelsea have been proceeding for a long time and the decisive breakthrough has not yet arrived.

Yesterday there were rumours of a stop to negotiations between the two clubs for the transfer of the Frenchman. However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Italia (via milannews.it), the situation is somewhat different.

The market expert reports that the situation is on stand-by, but talks have not fallen through. Milan continue negotiating with the player about his potential salary after the club buys him outright from Chelsea next summer.

For the first year, Bakayoko has already agreed to lower his salary to 3 million euros per season, but he would like more afterwards. At the same time, the Rossoneri also hope that Chelsea lower their demand for the buy-out option included in the contract (30 million euros), which is still considered too high by the management.
